NANO Technology is a proprietary technology from DEWALT that combines longer life, lighter weight, greater performance, and an expanded system of tools. Delivering 2,000 recharges, DEWALTs NANO -Phosphate Lithium Ion cells deliver industry leading durability and cycle life. Two to three times more than any other formula of lithium ion tested. The exclusive 18V NANO-Phosphate Lithium Ion batteries are compatible with the DEWALT 18V system- over 40 tools. This provides users increased versatility and the ability to select the best battery chemistry to meet the jobsite needs. In addition, the 18V NANO battery weighs the same as a 12 Volt XRPTM battery. The DC9180 18V Battery Pack with NANO Technology is backwards compatible with the DEWALT 18V system of 40+ tools. The NANO -Phosphate Lithium Ion cells deliver 2,000 recharges which is two to three times more than any other formula of lithium ion tested. The battery pack weighs 1.5 lbs- the same as a 12 Volt NiCd battery. The DC9180 has no memory and virtually no self-discharge for maximum productivity and less downtime. The DC9310 charges all DEWALT 7.2 Volt-18V NiCd, NiMH or Li-Ion batteries (except Univolt) in about 1 hour. It features the patented 3-stage charging system which provides maximum run-time and extends the overall life of the battery.
